DARK CHOCOLATE HOT CEREAL
Chocolate for breakfast? We know what you’re thinking, and YES! If you are a chocolate lover, you have to try this delicious hot cereal. Not only will dark chocolate give you a kick of energy, but it's also full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It’s a great take-along lunch or after-school snack too.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup water
- 2/3 cup Cream of the West Roasted 7-Grain (or Roasted Wheat or Roasted Ranch Oats - cook according to directions on packaging)
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Toppings
- peanut butter
- vanilla yogurt
- chocolate chips
- fresh raspberries or strawberries
Directions
Bring water to a boil. Stir in Cream of the West Roasted 7-Grain and cocoa powder. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes.
Place hot cereal in a serving bowl. Top with peanut butter, chocolate chips and honey or vanilla yogurt, chocolate chips, honey, and berries.
