Foolproof 7-Grain bread

1 Tbsp dry yeast
2 ½ cup hot water
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp salt
2/3 cup honey
1/3 cup oil
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup Cream of the West 7-Grain
¼ cup warm water
Sprinkle yeast into the ¼ cup warm water. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Combine hot tap water with whole wheat flour. Mix on low speed until blended. Add salt, oil and honey. Continue to mix until blended. Mix in 1 cup all-purpose flour. Add prepared yeast to mixture and blend thoroughly.
Mix in remaining flour and Cream of the West Roasted 7-Grain.
Knead 10 minutes with the dough hook in stand mixer or oil hands and remove dough from mixer. Knead on oiled bread pans and cover loaves with a damp cloth. Note: Dough will be extremely sticky.
Let rise in a warm area for about 35 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on a wore rack. Brush tops with butter.
Yield 2 large loaves.
