INGREDIENTS
CAKE
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp grated orange peel
1 cup orange juice
½ cup oil
2 eggs
½ cup Cream of the West Roasted Wheat- cooked
½ cup Cream of the West Roasted 7-Grain- cooked
GLAZE
1 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp milk
¾ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup chopped nuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350° . Grease and flour a 9” x 9” baking pan.
In a large bowl combine all cake ingredients. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 55 – 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
For Glaze:
In a saucepan, heat butter, milk, and brown sugar until melted. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and blend until smooth. Spread over cooled cake and sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
