PUMPKIN SPICE ROASTED WHEAT CEREAL

Pumpkin Spice Roasted Wheat Cereal

It’s pumpkin season! The perfect breakfast for those of us that patiently waited all summer for crisp autumn days and pumpkin spice.

Makes 2 adult sized servings
 

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup Cream of the West Roasted Wheat
  • 1 cup milk (any type)
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

Toppings

  • Heavy cream or half and half
  • Toasted or candied chopped pecans        
  • Brown sugar
  • Apple slices
  • Bear Luv-Un Honey natural cinnamon honey
  • Toasted pumpkin seeds
  • Whipped cream

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine milk, water butter, pumpkin puree, maple syrup or honey and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk well and bring to a simmer. Add Cream of the West Roasted Wheat and stir well.
 
Stirring often, simmer for 4-5 minutes, or until Roasted Wheat is to your desired consistency.
 
Dish up into 2 bowls and add desired toppings. Smile. Enjoy!
 
Note: If cereal gets too thick, thin with a little milk or water.
