I first started using this mix for camping
I first started using this mix for camping. Adding water to the mix made breakfast easy peasy. I still use the mix at home though. I don't treat it the same. I add an egg, oil and milk to it. I usually blend it with another mix at a 50/50 ratio. It really is the best!

My grandfather would drive up from San Diego to visit us in Helena once a year in the early 1970s, and he'd always take back one or two cases of Cream of The West with him because he loved the stuff, and he could find it no where in California or the surrounding states down there. I like my hot cereal thick
I like my hot cereal thick, not soupy. I also like it with dried fruit. To get the thickness I like, I mix the roasted wheat with the 7 grain (about 1/4 roasted wheat). Add a bit of brown sugar (sometimes maple syrup). The roasted wheat is also great without the 7 grain occasionally.

Well, I love both honey that I bought….the Huckleberry cream and the regular huckleberry honey jars. But, my favorite is the huckleberry honey. Would liked to had the jam, but sold out….thank you.

I've been eating 7 grain cereal for years and years. My personal recipe adds dried blueberries and a little ground flax seed to the serving and a half I generally begin my day with. I like it well done. My close friends call it 'Your Cowboy Cereal'. I grew up in Billings and remember eating your cream of wheat back in the 1950's. Besides making body happy, I have some pleasant nostalgia starting my day. I also whiz some in the food processor to add to my bread flour when I bake.

Cracked oats has been a favorite of mine for decades. I am trying your oats for the first time. One box of the three sits empty due to how good they are. The flavor of the cooked oats is very good , especially with a knob of butter and real Vermont maple syrup.I do not add milk.

40 Years of Cream of the West 7 Grain
I have been eating Cream of the West 7- Grain for decades. Nearly every day for breakfast. I still love it. The cereal, cinnamon, my favorite blueberries, and after a couple minutes in the microwave I put on a bit of plain yogurt.

My Dad, Joseph Robert Steele, was born in Roundup, Montana in 1929. He got me started on Cream of the west many years ago. You have a great product, but it seems more refined to me now than it used to be. Perhaps it is just because I have not eaten it in some time. My brother lives near Clyde park, Montana now and his old time grocer there sells your cereal. I'm back with it now.
