7-Grain Buttermilk Waffles
These waffles melt in your mouth! Serve them traditionally with butter and syrup or top them with scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage for a savory breakfast. They can be made ahead and kept in the refrigerator for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Best re-heated in a toaster or toaster oven.
Ingredients
- 2 cup Cream of the West 7-Grain Buttermilk Flapjack mix
- 1 ½ cups water or milk
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 large egg
Directions
Lightly grease and preheat waffle iron.
Beat together water, oil and egg. Stir in Cream of the West 7-Grain Buttermilk Flapjack mix until incorporated. Batter will still be lumpy.
Pour batter onto prepared waffle iron. Cook until golden brown.
Serve with melted butter, fruit, syrup or whipped cream.
