COWBOY PORRIDGE CHOCOLATE CHIP SKILLET COOKIE
Crispy on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside. This Cream of the West favorite was printed on the Roasted Wheat box for many years.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup Cream of the West Roasted Wheat
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Combine shortening, eggs, sugars and vanilla in mixing bowl. Mix well.
In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda and Cream of the West Roasted Wheat. Add to wet batter and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread batter in a greased 10" skillet.
Bake at 325 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until edges start to turn golden. Cool for 10 minutes, slice and server while warm and melty.
